Akashwani Sydney Inc. is a non-profit community organization that will not have an annual turnover more $3 million or less and is not a health service provider or does not trade in personal information for benefit, service or advantage. As such the Privacy Act 1988, does not apply to Akashwani Sydney Inc.

Akashwani Sydney Inc. may decide to publish the names of donors who have helped the organization for a particular financial year on their website or on their mobile application. This information will only be limited to the first and surname of the member. No other personal information of the donors will be published on their website or mobile application. This personal information of any of its donors will not be published without explicit written permission from the member. This permission will be obtained via email, or social media messaging (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram). This written permission will be only valid for that financial year and a new written permission will be needed for publishing the said information for the new financial year. Akashwani Sydney Inc. Treasurer holds the responsibility of collecting, saving and maintaining a record of member/donor consent about publishing their name.

Akashwani Sydney Inc. will be collecting personal information like first name, surname, mobile number and email address or members. This will be used only for the purpose of communicating with the members for any communication that the various committees will have to communicate over the year. If any of the committee decides to publish the member information, explicit written permission from the member is necessary before the information is published.

Data Collection and Retention Policy:

Akashwani Sydney Inc. will only be collecting personal information like first name, surname, mobile number and email address or members only for the purpose of communicating with the members. This data will be securely stored on cloud only accessible directly to the website/mobile application administrator.

Only the members of the Executive committee will be able to gain access to this data via a request to the administrator. All Akashwani Sydney Inc. committee members will be restricted from using this data for any other purpose than communication with Akashwani members.

This data collected from members will be retained for 2 (Two) years and will then be deleted by the website/mobile application administrator. Each year a new set of data will be collected and maintained as an updated contact list. For any program that is aired on Akashwani Sydney Inc, the program producer (Members of executive committee) may validate the contents of the program before airing.

Akashwani Sydney Inc. uses currently Radio2TrippleO community radio (https://www.radio2tripleo.com.au/) to air their programs, as such, all program participants are bound to follow rules and regulations of Radio2TrippleO. However, in future if Akashwani Sydney Inc. decides to use any other radio station or any other medium to air any program then all program participants are bound to follow rules and regulation of that radio station or such other medium to air program.

Radio2TrippleO provides recording service that Akashwani Sydney Inc. will be using to publish recorded programs on their website/mobile application. Akashwani Sydney Inc. will have full explicit rights of owning and publishing these recorded programs.

Other members of Akashwani Sydney Inc. or the public will not have access to these recorded programs and no one will be able to publish/distribute these programs without written permission from Akashwani Sydney Inc. and the program participants. These recorded programs will be securely stored on cloud only accessible directly to the website/mobile application administrator.
